Manhattan Beach Toyota with AddOnAuto
Brad Sperber is the owner of Manhattan Beach Toyota.
“With gross profits becoming harder and harder to maintain on the actual vehicle themselves, we knew that accessories was going to be the way of the future. That’s one of the reasons why we got AddOnAuto so we could really put a focus and emphasis on it.
“It’s a very non-threatening process.
“Very much like shopping on Amazon or any big online retailer.
“The customers that were spending three, four thousand dollars in accessories are still spending the three, four thousand dollars on accessories. What we’re picking up is the customers that were not going to buy anything. Now, they’re buying three, four hundred dollars of accessories. It’s the small things, the body side moldings, the door edge guards, all-weather floor mats. And the finance department is still being able to pitch their products as far as the extended warranties or GAP or security systems.”
Ron Vartanian is the general manager at Manhattan Beach Toyota.
“The customer will actually go through the screens and add equipment they like. It shows them what their payment difference is. Getting the customer involved has really been a big part of it.
“It’s been fantastic. It’s a new way of selling.
“We saw a return-on-investment from day one.
“The first month we saw almost forty thousand dollars in gross profit.
“Our average accessory profit for per vehicle sold is three hundred and fifty dollars.
“You can just see it pays for itself.”
