Our dealership used Electronic Document Management for years, but we only scanned service documents. We were wasting a lot of time searching for documents in sales, so we wanted to start scanning finance documents too. There are a lot of documents that go into a car deal, so we knew we needed more space to improve efficiency. We decided to upgrade to Integrated Document Management.
Since Integrated Document Management is built to work with ERA-IGNITE, I can now view documents directly from my system, which is faster and more reliable. It has saved us a lot of time on document retrieval. It used to take hours to find something in the storage closet, and now it only takes two minutes. If a customer requests a document, we can access it quickly and email it to them from the application. Time is everything, so that has been a huge benefit.
The transition to Integrated Document Management was also very smooth. It was hardly noticeable, and there was little, if any, disruption. Every dealership should have Integrated Document Management.
