The Results
Since implementing the docuPAD system, we no longer have to deal with those manual pitfalls. Now deals load right into the docuPAD system from our sales department without us having to duplicate information. Customers get into the F&I office much faster – their wait time has gone down 20 minutes. The quality of time our customers spend in the finance office has also improved because the focus has shifted from printing and signing forms to really digging deeper into options and packages for their vehicle.
We were running about $1,100 a copy using our traditional method. With the docuPAD system we average $1,400 a copy. There have even been months we’ve had $1,800 a copy. We have definitely increased $300-500 at minimum.
The changes we’ve seen since implementing the docuPAD system have been really eye opening. We’re picking up at least two extra products each deal we wouldn’t have sold previously, as the approach is much friendlier. Our customers feel like it’s more of a consultative approach rather than just trying to sell them a bunch of items. It’s familiar and comfortable to them and the trust factor is there much faster. The docuPAD system presents options in an interactive and professional way and really allows our customers to be more involved. If a family comes in, I can pull up the little notepad, let the kids draw a picture, and print it out at the end. It’s been a really positive experience for our customers and we’ve heard nothing but great feedback from them.
Another thing both our customers and I really like about the docuPAD system is that I can save everything digitally and give the final paperwork on a USB drive. We’re trying to be more environmentally conscious so being able to cut back on paper and give our customers a USB instead of a stack of paperwork has been wonderful.
It would be very difficult to go back to the way things were after experiencing the benefits of the docuPAD system. I would recommend it to anyone. It’s definitely a worthwhile investment.
