The Security Access screen is retiring with the upcoming ERA-IGNITE 35.00 update, expected in the fall or winter of 2025. After its retirement, you will need to use the Enterprise Security Management screen to manage permissions.
Everything you do on the Security Access screen can be done on the Enterprise Security Management screen. The Enterprise Security Management screen adds flexibility to how information is displayed and how permissions are granted to users and groups.
System administrators can assign individual security permissions, assign users to groups, grant permissions to additional stores or branches, and more — all from the Enterprise Security Management screen. Here’s a preview of what’s available.
Adding Users to a User Group
User Groups are a resource for efficiency. They help reduce the number of clicks you make and allow consistent permissions to be maintained in your stores. User Groups enable you to update permissions for an entire group, automatically applying the changes to all User IDs within that group.
Filters
Filters on the Enterprise Security Management screen allow you to customize your view. You can filter to see:
  • All Applications – toggle between seeing all applications available to the dealership and the applications that a User ID or User Group has access to.
  • All Branches – toggle between seeing all stores or branches in the dealership and the stores or branches that a User ID has access to.
  • Granted Branches – use the Magnifying Glass Icon to select specific stores or branches you would like to view.
Granting Access to a Store or Application and Individual Permissions
Easily add access to additional stores, branches, or applications. The Enterprise Security Management screen allows you to view up to 25 stores or branches at a time.
Once a User ID or User Group has permission for a specific application in a store or branch, use the drop-down menus to grant permissions.
Other Quick Tips
There are three additional tools to help you with the Enterprise Security Management screen.
  1. The F10 Clone From option. This clones permissions from a User ID or a User Group. To use this, press F10 on your keyboard and fill in the information about the User or Group you are cloning.
  2. Reduce the number of clicks you make by utilizing the right-click menu. This menu can be used to grant or remove permissions in bulk based on the option you select. Right-click on the Security Item to display the menu.
  3. The F4 Fewer/More Details option. This feature allows you to show or hide the level of security access for each category. Hiding the level of security access adds a level of privacy to protect your users’ security. Use this feature when you are in high traffic areas or if there is someone nearby who doesn’t need to see all the access a user has.
The updates to the Enterprise Security Management screen help streamline and enhance your ability to manage the permissions for your User IDs and User Groups.
