As an IT Onsite Field Technician, you will be heavily focused on providing services through Proton Dealership IT - a division of The Reynolds and Reynolds Company. Proton is an IT company that provides support and amazing customer service to automotive dealerships across the nation. IT support is a commodity but AMAZING customer service is not! As an IT Onsite Field Technician, you will be the first line of contact for all technical concerns onsite at your assigned accounts. In this role, you will face a variety of technical issues, allowing you to creatively problem solve in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone with a professional and personable demeanor that will continuously strengthen client relationships and build rapport.
Specific responsibilities include: effective and efficient problem solving, collaborating with the help-desk to resolve on-site technical issues, fostering open communication with clients, scheduling client installations, guiding new equipment deployment, and hardware/network troubleshooting. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with ticketing system(s), Windows Active Directory, desktop operating systems (windows 10 and 11)
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Servers lineup of products
- Working knowledge of RMM software and Cisco
- Direct experience with O365 + GSuite
- Familiarity with VoIP phone systems, printer troubleshooting and network troubleshooting techniques

You will have an assigned territory and will attend a paid training program in College Station, Texas. The training is primarily a hands-on familiarization course of the equipment at customer sites and will also teach our policies and procedures.
1+ years of experience in an IT support role; Technical associates degree or equivalent experience; Must have a valid driver’s license, with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years; Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a consistent basis; Strong attention to detail and communication skills; Excellent customer service skills; Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and networking issues; Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; Ability to travel, with hotel stays, up to 25% of the time
