The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, a leading provider of software and services to automotive retailers, today announced that Lincoln Industrial Corp. has joined the Reynolds Certified Interface (RCI) program for the ERA® dealership management system (DMS). The RCI program provides a platform for the safe exchange of data between dealerships using a Reynolds DMS and the third-party companies with which those dealers do business. Lincoln is a world leader in the manufacture and sale of lubrication and pumping equipment. With a Reynolds Certified Interface, Lincoln and its dealership customers will benefit from a seamless exchange of information through a secure, supported interface.
Lincoln's Fluid Control & Management Systems are designed to accurately track the use of fluids, oils, and greases in vehicle maintenance facilities, such as the service departments within automotive retailers. With an approved interface, Lincoln's systems will communicate usage data to the dealership's ERA DMS in real time to better track fluid inventory depletion and reduce lost fluid billing.
"Integration with the DMS will further enhance the value of our systems in improving service technician productivity and the bottom line at the dealership," said Bill Parker, director of Sales at Lincoln. "In addition, a certified data interface will help give peace of mind to our dealership customers that the interface is reliable and supported by both Lincoln and Reynolds."
As part of the Reynolds Certified Interface program, Reynolds requires vendors to complete a thorough certification process, which helps ensure that the interface with a Reynolds DMS is safe and consistently reliable. This helps protect the DMS and the integrity of the dealership's data and helps keep dealers compliant with data security requirements.
"With RCI, Reynolds is continuing its commitment to support dealers with the secure, advanced data transfer capabilities they need to achieve their desired business results," said Bob Schaefer, director of Data Services at Reynolds. "We're pleased to add Lincoln to the growing number of vendors in the RCI program."
Currently, the Reynolds Certified Interface program includes more than 120 vendors.
