Scrum Master

Position description:

Open Dealer Exchange (ODE), an affiliate of Reynolds and Reynolds, is looking for a Scrum Master to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The Scrum Master is accountable for the Scrum Team’s effectiveness by enabling the team to improve its practices within the Scrum framework. As a Scrum Master, your main responsibility is to help coach the Scrum Team in the Agile methodology in order to facilitate a successful delivery of code into Production. To be successful in this role, communication with the Product Owner, Scrum Team, and other Stakeholders on a regular basis is required to achieve customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in Agile methodology and be able to coach and educate others.

Responsibilities:

- Leading the Scrum Team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
- Coaching the team members in self-management and cross-functionality
- Ensuring that all Scrum ceremonies take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox
- Mentor Scrum Teams in the Agile framework
- Remove impediments and coach the Scrum Team on removing impediments
- Helping the Product Owner, Scrum Team, and other Stakeholders to achieve customer satisfaction

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience in Software Development
• Scrum Master Certification (Scrum Alliance Preferred)
• 2-5 years of experience leading a Scrum Team preferred
• Ability to analyze and think quickly to resolve conflict
• Knowledgeable in Scrum/Agile methodology
• Ability to work with and lead a team
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
• Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
