Reynolds Adds Test Drive Videos for Dealership
Web sites and Customer Relationship Management Tools
Test Drive Videos will be available for WebMakerXT, Contact Management and
CRM solutions in its POWER DMS software
DAYTON, OHIO - February 9, 2008 - Reynolds and Reynolds, a leading provider of software and services to automotive retailers, announced today the company will add Test Drive Videos to the Web, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools it provides to automotive dealerships. Test Drive videos will be available for CRM solutions in its POWER DMS software.
Test Drive Videos are full-motion, virtual vehicle test drives that provide a compelling online experience for car shoppers on the Web or through e-mail. The videos include informative graphics, comparative information, and voice-over narration. Test Drive Videos have proven appeal to online users and offer dealerships a unique dimension to traditional online marketing and advertising.
"The addition of Test Drive Videos to our line of Web and CRM solutions is another example of providing tools that dealers need to make their business better - and that consumers are looking for in the car shopping experience," said Jon Strawsburg, vice president of Product Marketing at Reynolds. "It's another way to help dealers generate leads and reinforce their relationship with customers."
A dealership can use Test Drive Videos in several ways to strengthen its business and to reinforce its relationship with customers.
- As a Web tool: With Reynolds' WebMakerX, car shoppers will be able to view short test drive videos on selected vehicles directly from the vehicle inventory page on the dealership's Web site. Test Drive Videos also provide additional research data about vehicles in a quick, concise, and easy-to-view format, which means consumers are less likely to leave the dealer's site to search for additional information on a vehicle.
- As a CRM tool: Within Reynolds' Contact Management and POWER CRM solutions, dealers will be able to embed Test Drive Videos in outbound e-mail messages to customers and prospects. This will enable dealers to launch more dynamic and appealing e-mail campaigns - campaigns that get noticed.
Strawsburg concluded: "We know from independent research that dealers are keenly interested in how best to manage customer relationships and how best to make those relationships pay off. This is one more answer."
Test Drive Videos are distributed exclusively by Chrome Systems, a long-time Reynolds partner and an industry leader in collecting, enhancing, and distributing automotive data.
The Chrome Video Showcase provides detailed and dynamic full motion vehicle video to drive increased online traffic, leads, and sales. The Test Drive Videos are packed with vehicle videos powered by Wheels TV and we are proud to continue to partner with Reynolds and Reynolds so that their customers can take advantage of this engaging technology" said Pete Batten, Chrome Systems general manager.
