Reynolds Acquires Dayton-based MED-PASS, Inc., to Add to Document Solutions Business
A Leading Supplier of Documents and Compliance Forms to the Senior Care Market
- Reynolds and Reynolds announced today that the company has acquired MED-PASS, Inc., a leading supplier of documents and compliance forms to the extended care portion of the medical industry. Terms of the acquisition were not released.
MED-PASS, which was founded in 1989, will retain its name and brand in the market and operate as a stand-alone division of Reynolds Document Solutions. The company is based in the Dayton area with approximately 45 employees.
“The senior care market is a growing industry and MED-PASS has developed a strong business model and product line around serving that market with documents and compliance forms – both paper and electronic,” commented Jerry Kirwan, senior vice president and general manager of Reynolds Document Solutions. “Their brand and products are well established in their market, and they’ve developed significant intellectual property protection to help sustain their competitive advantage. That’s a business model very similar to our documents business, and it’s one we understand.”
Kirwan also noted that MED-PASS has built a reputation for its focus on superior products and superior customer service – both attributes that match well with the focus at Reynolds.
“We look forward to continuing to serve our customers with the expertise and service they have come to expect from MED-PASS,” said Lisa Hanauer, MED-PASS founder and president. “Now, we can do so with the strengths and advantages of a larger company behind our brand – a company with deep expertise in documents and compliance forms.”
