Successful Installation Thanks to Field Engineer

We had a server upgrade for Savannah Toyota and Savannah Mitsubishi on a recent Sunday. The hardware was shipped and installation scheduled in record time, but our window for implementation was extremely tight. Because we’re open seven days a week, we had only two hours after installation to resolve any issues before the Mitsubishi store opened for business. However, the project went off with only minor issues that were readily resolved.

While I’d like to take credit for the execution of the server project, the fact is my participation was minor. I credit the Reynolds implementation team – in particular Carl, the field engineer. Carl possesses a dynamic personality, which is somewhat at odds with some of our fellow IT professionals. He not only knows the hardware, but also who to call if there is a problem. In fact, his efforts in the days before our install contributed to the success of the project and preserved a precious Sunday for both of us.
